Simran Kalra is a law clerk at Corporate Securities Legal LLP. Her work focuses on complex corporate and securities matters, including private placements, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and SEC compliance, including proxy filings and related disclosures.
Prior to joining Corporate Securities Legal LLP, Ms. Kalra gained extensive experience through internships with prominent law firms and senior advocates in India. Her work included matters in antitrust, insolvency and bankruptcy, criminal law, intellectual property, and commercial arbitration. She also contributed to research and drafting on significant issues such as the Uniform Civil Code and trademark infringement.
Ms. Kalra earned her LL.M. from UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in business law under the securities regulation track and was awarded the Dean’s Tuition Fellowship.
She holds an LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School, Symbiosis International (Deemed) University,India, where she was a two-time moot court participant and a research assistant for the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Gurugobind Singh Indraprastha University, India and a Diploma in International Business Laws and Corporate Laws in India.
